Who Can Donate Blood?
- Age: Donors must be between 18 and 65 years old.
- Weight: Minimum body weight should be 50 kg (110 lbs).
- Health: Donor must be in good health, free from infections, fever, or chronic illness on the day of donation.
- Hemoglobin Level: Minimum hemoglobin should be 12.5 g/dl.
- Donation Interval: Men can donate every 3 months. Women can donate every 4 months.
- Medical Conditions: Donors with diabetes, heart disease, cancer, HIV, hepatitis B/C, or other infectious diseases cannot donate.
- Lifestyle Restrictions: No alcohol intake within 24 hours before donation.
- Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Pregnant and breastfeeding women are not eligible to donate.
